Get your You Are Beautiful stickers while they last

July 28, 2007 · Leave a Comment

It looks like the You Are Beautiful project has stickers back in stock. I just got mine in the mail today after requesting them a few months ago. If you aren’t familiar with this project, check out their site. It’s a great message amongst today’s barrage of “beauty” advertisements and images. Get your stickers and get them out where someone can see them.

Test. Test. Is this thing on?

I don’t expect to be the next super-blogger, but I am interested in knowing if anything I write is useful to anyone reading me. I see a hit here and there but no comments. So, I pose the question to you, ‘o blog reader, “Are my writings helpful or at least a little interesting?”

Welcome

August 19, 2006 · Leave a Comment

Welcome to “Inside The Box”, a collection of my writings on how I survive the challenges of working in a large organization. Inside The Box is my metaphor for innovating and getting things done in today’s modern corporate environment, where there are always constraints (some fair and some not) on how far you can take your ideas and dreams in terms of actually doing something that adds value to your organization. That’s a buzz kill for many people and a bitter pill to swallow (it was for me), but I find it helps me maintain forward progress because I acknowledge there are rules established by the corporate culture as an organic entity that sets limits on what any one person or group of people can actually do in the environment.

I am writing about my experiences in large corporate culture, not a small company or personal business, so please don’t think I am so pessimistic to think we are all bound by the hive mind.

Please look in on me now and again and feel free to comment. Open dialogue and honest feedback is the best tool for personal growth and that’s another goal of this endeavour for me.
